Park Rules
Parking: Please DO NOT park on any grass surface in the park. Our sprinklers are close to the surface, easy damaged and expensive. Offending vehicles will be warned and if left unmoved, will be towed at the owners expense.
Check Out: Check out time is 2 pm. If you wish to stay, please re-register by 12 noon! After 12 noon your site will be considered a vacant site.
Pets: Provincial Park rules stipulate that all PETS MUST BE LEASHED AT ALL TIMES! No pets are allowed on the beach, and please CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR PET!
Speed: The speed limit inside the park is 30 kilometers per hour. Offenders are subject to the same speeding fines as on any public road and will be prosecuted. There are many children in the park...PLEASE SLOW DOWN
Firewood: Firewood is available at the registration booth as well as the concession. Please do not burn treated wood, pallets or wood that contains nails.
Occupied Tags: Tags must be placed on site marker post to indicate that your site is occupied. Please deposit this tag in the drop box at the park exit when leaving.
Quiet Time: Quiet time begins at 11 pm. Kinbrook Island Provincial Park is a family environment and we ask your cooperation in observing this 11 pm noise regulation. Once again, violators are subject to prosecution.
Community: Kinbrook Island Provincial Park is a public area. All the laws of the land apply inside the park. Infractions such as: Unleashed animals, open liquor, underage drinking, fighting, loud music after quiet time, speeding, stunting, harassing of wildlife and other breaches of the laws are all subject to fines and/or prosecution. Please obey all laws and rules so that all can enjoy their time at Kinbrook. Please remember that this park is here for the enjoyment of everyone...show common sense and respect to your fellow campers and to park staff. Thank You!
Occupied: Vehicle or sleeping unit must be on site at ALL TIMES!
Provincial Regulations
Camping:
- Camping fees are payable when the permit is issued; camping permits are not transferable.
- Camping permits are issued on a first-come, first-served basis, except in sections of a campground where a campsite reservation service is in effect.
- Camping permit holders are responsible for the actions of all camping party members and visitors.
- The maximum number of motor vehicles, camping accommodation units and pieces of towed equipment permitted on a campsite is three; of that three, only two may be camping accommodation units. There is an exception to this: if the only accommodation units on the campsite are two tents, then two motor vehicles or one motor vehicle and one piece of towed equipment are permitted.
Day Use: Day use areas are available for use from 7:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. only.
Fishing: If you are an Alberta resident between the ages of 16 and 65, you must obtain an Alberta angling licence; non-residents must obtain an Alberta angling licence regardless of age.
Liquor: Liquor is prohibited on roads, trails and beaches, and in washrooms, cook shelters, picnic sites and other public areas. Crime Prevention:We experience very little serious crime in our parks and recreation areas, and we ask your co-operation in helping us to keep it that way:
- Checkstops: in co-operation with police, vehicle checks are made periodically at park entrances.
- Vandalism: Report acts of vandalism to conservation officers or police.
- Camp-watch: be a good neighbor; help protect one another's property.
- Operation identification: help deter thieves; mark your valuables.
